This is the last coffee of the calendar and we finish it with a bang. JayC has provided us with a fantastic coffee from Gesha Village - a farm coming from the roots of where the prized Gesha varietal originally comes from.

We hope you've enjoyed the coffee journey as much as we've enjoyed planning the Advent Calendar! We'll see you around either in the MCL Discord, or hopefully as a customer of Bean Bodega.

Happy Holidays and have a wonderful winter break!

The Visionary Whizz: Creating the Bean Bodega Brand with Shirin

Whilst the coffee is the star, every great brand needs a face, and today we’re celebrating the person who gave us ours: our logo designer, Shirin. This is one of our shortest, but most important stories.

I first got to know Shirin at my workplace. We were looking for an intern to help produce a podcast, and Shirin’s application instantly stood out due to her remarkable ability to tell stories through digital media—she’s a complete whizz with tools like Canva.

After an initial catch-up lunch, we started bouncing ideas off each other about visually representing the concept of Bean Bodega. After countless iterations, we were able to gain clarity on our ideas. The entire process was pure fun—a true creative partnership.

Finally, we landed on the core design that perfectly encapsulates the story and purpose of Bean Bodega.

It was an absolute pleasure to collaborate with Shirin, and I am incredibly grateful for her ability to transform a passionate idea into a beautiful, thought-provoking brand design.
